Aircraft History

Founded in 1948, Tecnam is an Italian manufacturer of advanced ultralight, light sport aircraft, and fully certified single- and multi-engine aircraft.

The Tecnam P2006T is a high-winged, twin-engine, four-seat, retractable-gear aircraft powered by two liquid-cooled Rotax 912S engines. These engines will run on both 92 octane MOGAS or 100LL Avgas. The engines are cooled by airflow through the nacelles along with radiators in each cowl. The electric starters used to start the engines on the ground must also be used for an in-flight restart because the engines cannot be turned by the airflow past the propellers.

The Tecnam P2006T comes equipped with a Garmin G950 avionics suite or a typical “steam gauge” six pack layout.
