Aircraft History

The Mooney M20M Bravo has its roots in the M20 of 1955. However, the design has undergone a multitude of changes since then. The M20 line includes the Mooney 201 and the current production Eagle 2 and Ovation 2. The M20M was called the TLS when it was introduced in 1989. In 1997, the name was changed to the Bravo.

Most Mooneys have two things in common: speed and efficiency. This is one example where outright speed won out over efficiency. A turbocharged 270 hp Lycoming pushes the M20M faster than any of the earlier M20 Mooneys, especially at altitude. Seating for four is better than other Mooney due to a stretched cabin.
