Compare the fixed costs, variable cost, and performance of Beechcraft Hawker 400XPR to over 500 jets, turboprops, helicopters and piston aircraft, with accurate data from Conklin & de Decker.
The Hawker 400XPR is an engine retrofit program offered by Hawker Beechcraft. Along with the new engines, Hawker winglets are added to the airframe.
The retrofit is applicable to any Beechjet 400A or Hawker 400XP airframe. The original Pratt & Whitney JT15D-5 (-5R on the 400XP) engines are replaced Williams International FJ44-4A-32 engines producing 3,200 pounds of thrust . The Williams engines offer more power and better fuel burn, thus better range, to the venerable airframe. The Williams engines have a 5,000 hour time between overhauls (TBO) with no scheduled hot section inspections due.
The winglets reduce drag and, with the higher power from the new engines, allow the 400XPR to climb faster, cruise faster, and increase maximum range.
